Thermocouple Wire and Probes

Ultra Premium - Highest Quality Thermocouple Wire
GE Kaye select thermocouple wire is manufactured with the highest purity and uniformity available to the industry. Quality control and testing of every wire spool ensures consistent measurement results and each spool is accompanied by a Certificate of Conformance which guarantees that it meets our specifications of accuracy. Insulated Type T wires of 3 or 7-strand constructions are available uncut in spools, or cut to length with Teflon tips.

Potential Errors Exist at the Gradient
When a damaged (stressed) segment of a thermocouple wire is used across a large temperature gradient, the measured data is subject to significant error. The magnitude of error is determined by the manufactured quality of the wire.

Start with High-Purity Wire

Thermocouple wire is subject to degradation that can lead to errors even after sensor calibration. Careful handling will extend service life and ensure a thermocouple's reliability. High-purity thermocouples are inherently more resistant to errors resulting from cold working than standard grade wire. For the highest level of accuracy and reliability specify GE Kaye Ultra Premium high-purity wire and thermocouples.

Premium Thermocouple Wire

For less critical applications, GE Kaye now offers a premium grade thermocouple wire. While not as accurate as the Ultra Premium grade, this wire provides adequate performance for many applications at an economical price point.

Custom Thermocouple Probes

GE Kaye stainless steel tipped thermocouple probes are durable and highly accurate. These custom probes are available with Teflon, Kapton, or Silicone insulation and stainless steel stems. Stem configuration can be either straight or with 90 degree bend, with flat or pointed tips. Spring transition segments are also available to improve flexibility, and Teflon and Kapton heat shrink labels are available to help organize your data collection.
